Safety Guaranteed
Woden Flooring is committed to delivering products that are safe, durable, and competitively priced. Every box undergoes rigorous quality inspection to ensure it meets or exceeds established industry manufacturing standards. We stand behind the safety of all Woden Flooring products, including our laminate collections, providing confidence and peace of mind for every space.
Indoor Air Quality Compliance
At Woden Flooring, indoor air quality and product safety are integral to our manufacturing standards. Our products are evaluated under recognized certification programs such as FloorScore®, developed by the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) in partnership with Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), an independent third-party laboratory. FloorScore® certification verifies compliance with strict indoor air quality (IAQ) emission requirements, with particular attention to volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
In addition, Woden Flooring products are manufactured to meet or exceed CARB Phase II regulations, established by the California Air Resources Board in 2010. This regulation sets one of the most stringent global limits on formaldehyde emissions—below 0.05 ppm—ensuring our hardwood and wood-based flooring products contribute to a safe and healthy indoor environment.
Ongoing Laboratory Verification
Every Woden Flooring product is subject to rigorous testing and quality control procedures. For each flooring category, comprehensive evaluations are conducted to ensure consistent performance and compliance with the highest industry standards. Each production batch is carefully inspected by Woden Flooring’s trained Quality Control personnel to maintain strict manufacturing consistency.
Prior to shipment, every batch undergoes laboratory testing for both quality and safety, including formaldehyde emission assessments. All testing is fully documented with detailed reports and photographic records to ensure transparency and accuracy.
Independent Third-Party Testing
To further safeguard our customers, Woden Flooring voluntarily submits its products to SGS, a globally recognized, independent testing and certification organization, on a quarterly basis. Testing parameters include, but are not limited to, abrasion resistance, stain resistance, fire performance, formaldehyde emissions, VOC levels, dimensional stability, and product flexibility.
Buyer Awareness Notice
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), particularly formaldehyde, are widely recognized as harmful substances and potential carcinogens. Elevated exposure may cause symptoms such as headaches, eye irritation, respiratory discomfort, and breathing difficulties. While many flooring brands claim low VOC emissions, such claims should only be relied upon when supported by recognized certifications and proper documentation. Without verified labels such as FloorScore® and/or CARB Phase II compliance on product packaging—and corresponding test reports from the manufacturer—indoor air quality performance should not be assumed.
All Woden Flooring products are designed with indoor air quality as a priority. Our collections are FloorScore® certified, and our engineered hardwood products comply with CARB Phase II and EPA TSCA Title VI (40 C.F.R. Part 770) requirements, providing assurance that they meet stringent formaldehyde and VOC emission standards for safe indoor environments.
